This is an idea which has come as a solution to a common problem and mutual dislike of broken wire clothes horses.
You all know those drying racks that they have in back country cabins that hang from a couple pulleys from the ceiling.
You put your damp laundry on them and pull it up to the ceiling - out of the way and into the warmest part of the room.
